Gentle Shepherd Ministries (GSM) is a nonprofit 501 (c) 3
corporation dedicated to help people find freedom and healing from issues such as depression, anxiety, marital issues, or
other life problems including trauma and ritual abuse through:
- Christian Counseling (including Prayer Counseling).
- Training and Education.
Christian Counseling Project. The Christian Counseling Project is a project
of GSM where Dr. Musgrave offers $50.00 counseling sessions (50 minute sessions) while he completes his State Supervision
for licensing as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). After Dr. Musgrave becomes a Licensed Professional Counselor those
with insurance will be able to use their insurance and those who have no insurance will continue to be able to pay only
$50 for counseling sessions.
Christian Counseling. Christian counseling is based on a holistic model for
wellness and prevention. The model relates to wholeness in mind, body, spirit, and community. The characteristics
of wellness are expressed through a balance of five life tasks: spirituality, self-regulation, work, love, and friendship
with spirituality. At the center of wholeness is spirituality (a belief in God and/or a personal belief and
relationship with Jesus Christ).
Christian Counseling is not simply a counselor being a Christian, but counseling where God is brought into
the therapy process.
Prayer Counseling. Prayer Counseling uses prayer as therapy. Prayer Counseling
allows the Lord Jesus Christ to take a person to the root and origin of the problem(s) they are experiencing. This helps
to bring freedom, healing and resolution.
Training and Education. Dr. Musgrave offers a two or three day training on using
what he calls "Prayer Counseling." He also offers a demonstration of prayer counseling to church groups or to those
interested in its effectiveness.
Deprogramming Ritual Abuse Survivors. Deprogramming is not counseling and must
be done for counseling to be effective. Dr. Musgrave works with Ritual Abuse Survivors in the area and available for
weekly sessions or on occassion will travel to another area for a 2-3 period to work with a survivor and his/her therapist.
